South Florida Newborn Photography | Newborn Safety Week 2012

Newborn safety week is here again and I can’t stress enough that as cute as Newborn Photography can be, they are tiny little babies and we need to be very careful with them.

Newborn photography has become a growing trend in last several years and parents sometimes don’t realize that the amazing newborn pictures that they see on the internet or at a doctor’s office most of the time is a combination of  photographer’s + assistant work and later on photoshop work, the cute poses are made with a composition of 2 or 3 images to make up that final image.

Here are some great examples of the shots and the final image.

Even thought the babies are in deep sleep, you should not leave baby unattended at any time.

Hands on baby ALL the time!

For the swing shot I have mom there the entire time looking at the baby, plus 2 more people holding the swing.

Respect the baby, not all babies likes some poses, so if they get fussy with a pose move on to the next one,

Keep the room warm,

Full belly – as a hungry baby will mostly wake up easily,

White noise are always a plus.

You can also check out great  Newborn safety articles on google. I add some of them here:
